Last day to register to vote: October 20.
State begins mailing ballots: October 6.
Ballot drop-off locations open: October 7.
Vote centers open for early in-person voting: October 25.
Vote-by-mail ballots must be postmarked by: November 4.
Vote-by-mail ballots must be received by: November 12.

All California active registered voters will receive a vote-by-mail ballot for the November 4, 2025, Statewide Special Election.

Vote-by-mail ballots can be returned by mail, at a drop-off location, or your county elections office.
