I hope everyone is enjoying the summer. We’ve been lucky to have cooler than usual temperatures this year.
In Washington, DC, however temperatures are rising with every dangerous bill that gets passed, every crazy federal judge that gets confirmed and every critical government department that gets decimated.
We are in a pitched battle to save our Democracy. I thank each and every one of you that has stepped up to volunteer, attended a protest, donated to a worthy cause and joined the ranks of the Lincoln Democrats.
Our numbers have swelled and our level of activism has increased dramatically over the last 6 months -- so much so that the Placer County Democratic Party (PCDC) will honor the Democratic Club of Lincoln at the upcoming 12th Annual Roosevelt-Kennedy Dinner. This is the County Party’s biggest fundraiser of the year and it will take place on Friday, August 8 th, 5 pm, at Sun City Roseville’s Timber Creek Ballroom. See below for more details. If you haven’t purchased your tickets yet, you can do so by clicking HERE. Ticket prices go up on July 25 th, so Act Now!

It's important to note that all money raised at this event stays in the county to support the PCDC’s operations and local candidates. For example, they have hosted great events like the Town Hall in May and the Democracy Workshop in June. The increase in publication of Letters to the Editor this year is due in part to PCDC’s efforts. They are doing great work and, frankly, Lincoln Dems’ ability to impact our community has been enhanced by their support.
If you can’t be present on August 8 th, PCDC has implemented a “scholarship” program where you can purchase a ticket that will be donated to a young Democrat. It is critical for us to engage younger voters as they are most effective at influencing their peers when it comes time to vote.
I want to see a sea of Lincoln Democrats when I step up to receive our Political Action award on the Club’s behalf. We couldn’t have achieved this without your support, so join us and share in our excitement about the work we will do together in the coming months.
