Welcome to the Democratic Club of Lincoln, a charter member of the Placer County Democrats. Established in 2004, our club has grown from only 20 members to over 400 members!
Lincoln Dems give back to their community by volunteering at the Feeding the Foothills Food Bank
Dems care, and it shows! Our team of 12 packed 3,000 pounds of produce at the Feeding the Foothills food bank today, and had fun doing it! Serving our community, caring for those in need. That's what we do.
Golf Carts Needed! Calling All Democrats – 4th OF JULY PARADE
The Fourth of July parade is just around the corner and this is a great opportunity to show our community that Lincoln Democrats are loud and proud!
We are looking for members with golf carts/classic cars to participate and lots of “golf cart riders” or walkers to join in the fun. We’ll have bubble machines, balloons and banners. The parade is downtown Lincoln from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM so you’ll have plenty of time the rest of the day to celebrate the fourth. Sign up now to be part of the fun.
Now, more than ever, it’s time to celebrate being a Democrat. Contact June at [email protected] to sign up!

Over 500 Attend In-Person Town Hall That Rep. Kevin Kiley Refused to Hold
Representatives Sam Liccardo (CA-16) and Jared Huffman (CA-02) brought energy and insight to a packed town hall hosted by Placer County Democrats in Roseville on May 10. For many residents, this marked the first opportunity to engage directly with federal lawmakers in person — something their own representative, Kevin Kiley, has yet to offer.
The crowd came ready with questions, and the conversation quickly turned to the pressing threats posed by the Trump administration and House Republicans' continued attacks on the federal government and vital programs like Medicaid and Social Security.
Both Liccardo and Huffman spoke candidly about how they’re pushing back — through legislative action and by supporting legal challenges to protect the programs on which Americans rely. Liccardo shared a powerful reminder: While Kiley may be voting for chaos in Washington, real leadership is alive and well in our local communities.
Thank you Congressmen Huffman & Liccardo!
Habeas Corpus vs. Due Process
It’s the phrase of day in the news lately, especially by the cruel and horrible Stephen Miller who wants to “suspend” it. But what is “Habeas Corpus” and how is it different from “Due Process?”
“Habeas corpus and Due Process, while related, serve different purposes in protecting individual rights. Habeas corpus is a legal principle that allows a court to review the legality of a detention or imprisonment. It essentially provides a mechanism for a person to challenge the government's right to keep them in custody.
Due process, on the other hand, ensures that the government follows fair procedures when it acts to deprive someone of life, liberty, or property. It guarantees fairness and protects against arbitrary government actions.”
Here’s Adam Schiff speaking about the history and importance of Habeas Corpus (video length - 3:43):
