Despite 104*F, over 180 Proud Lincoln Democrats attended!
The annual club BBQ on August 15 turned out to be the hottest ticket in town - both in terms of attendance as well as temperature. Despite an extreme weather advisory for record setting high temp, over 180 people turned out for the event to hear guest speaker Christine Pelosi. Although the event was not primarily a fund raiser, a little over $2000 was added to our treasury that we will put to good use in support of candidates, community organizations and a scholarship fund. The Double Barrel Smokehouse provided an outstanding buffet and leftovers from the event were taken to our Lincoln Fire Department to enjoy.
